And so it begins . . .

Little League sports, that is!  Last year, Noah played (if that’s what you want to call it) soccer for the 4 yr. old “Strikers” team at Grayson Baptist Church.  Daddy was the assistant coach.  Let’s just say, it was very entertaining.  I’m really not sure which was more amusing – watching Noah kick balls into the opposing team’s goal or watching Chanch (who played soccer all through college) try to coach 4 yr. olds who really care nothing about the sport!

But, now we’re into football!  Noah will be playing for the county little league team.  He was just given his equipment Monday night, and I’m not sure he has taken it off since then.  Actually, I did persuade him to remove the shoulder pads and helmet before going to bed, but you can bet they were on his bed with him throughout the night.  Practice begins next week, and this time, Daddy isn’t the coach!

So 3 nights a week this fall you’ll find my family sitting on the sideline at the local field.  Yes, I said 3 nights a week for a 5-6 yr. old team.  And to think, this is only the beginning.

GO JAGUARS!!!

  1. And just think…Colby will be right behind him and then Addilyn. Well, let’s just say she will be as involved as them! That is why we have the one sport per child, per season rule!

  2. I think it’s cute that he took the equipment to bed with him. Did you get a picture?
